Desmond Child – a true genius!

Det finns låtskrivare och så finns det låtskrivare. John Charles Barrett, alias Desmond Child, (född 1953) tillhör epitetet utomjordiska sådana. Pappan härstammade från Ungern och mamma från Cuba.

Han har skapat så schizofrent mycket bra låtar. 2008 blev han ytterst välförtjänt invald i The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF). Jag tänkte helt sonika rada upp mina favoritlåtar med denna man.

Likt den filmnörd som jag är vet jag att han skrev ”Last of the ancient breed” i början av sin karriär till råkultfilmen The Warriors från 1979. Den har jag inte sett om sedan dess, vågar typ inte bli besviken på denna klassiker, så jag låter den hellre vila i frid:))
